This unit encompassed fairy tales, folk tales, legends, and fables. The 2nd graders worked to identify key story elements of fairy tales and made comparisons between works that were read. Read alouds included: The Three Little Pigs, The Real Story of the Three Little Pigs by A. Wolf and John Scieska (one of my favorites!), Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Little Bunny Foo Foo.
